ICS has scheduled maintenance for our ICS TotalVoice platform to test our VMware High Availability and VMmotion features. This will ensure if ICS experiences a hardware failure, that all customers will continue to operate. We do not expect an outages or down-time. If, for any reason, a customer does experience an outage, it will be only for a small select group of customers for a very brief amount of time.
ICS will bring down each VMware “host” or server individually and ensure all of our TotalVoice phone systems migrate over to the next available host without failure. With ICS’s configuration, a host should be able to fail and all customer’s phones, live phone calls and all other technology should continue to operate. ICS will cycle through each host to ensure all redundancy for every customer works properly. If a problem is found, ICS will bring this host back on-line and then troubleshoot the underlying cause. Based on the current ICS audit, we are not expecting any outages.

It would not be a proper maintenance notification without our tech joke of the day…
